Location: Kirkland, WA

Summary:

Auto Technicians in Kirkland, WA are responsible for repairing, overhauling, and modifying electro-hydraulic actuators and assembly. They also perform tests and inspections on Aircraft Accessory Components (Hydraulic/Electrical) to ensure compliance with FAA standards, original equipment manufacturers, and customer requirements.

Responsibilities:

General Repair and Maintenance Duties:

  • Perform pre-assembly activities such as cleaning and lubricating parts
  • Assemble equipment according to instruction sheets, engineering orders, and drawings
  • Conduct product testing and record results
  • Perform final checks and adjustments to ensure high quality
  • Maintain assembly records
  • Repair, modify, replace, and perform routine maintenance on components
  • Test and troubleshoot electrical components
  • Install, repair, inspect, and adjust products as required
  • Maintain maintenance records
  • Communicate effectively with co-workers and leadership
  • Complete job assignments and required training
  • Read and interpret technical data and manuals
  • Conduct operational tests

General Shop Duties:

  • Assist with general clean-up of work area
  • Accurately clock into jobs
  • Maintain regular and prompt attendance
  • Conduct oneself appropriately with co-workers

Safety Responsibility:

  • Adhere to company health, safety, and environmental rules
  • Maintain a clean and hazard-free work area
  • Promptly report accidents and equipment problems
  • Monitor equipment functioning and report any issues

Skills and Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of maintenance operations and practices
  • Good verbal and written communication skills
  • Basic and intermediate mathematical abilities
  • Ability to interpret instructions in various forms
  • Proficiency in aircraft specialty
  • Effective communication in English
  • Aptitude for new assigned work

Required Experience:

Airframe and/or Power plant License and two years of experience as a General Mechanic, or three years of related industrial/commercial or military maintenance experience, or two years of experience as an apprentice mechanic working on commercial accessory components, or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Note: Aircraft maintenance experience preferred but not required!

Required Education:

High school education or equivalent
