My client is seeking a highly motivated Mechanical Engineer to join their team. This position is located in the vicinity of Nashville, TN and offers excellent opportunities for career growth and advancement within a billion-dollar international high-temperature materials manufacturing company. As a junior engineer, you will have the opportunity to work closely with an experienced engineering team dedicated to the setup, design, and specification of automated processing equipment. This includes wet and dry chemical transfer systems, piping, drainage, pumps, valves, mixers, conveyors, dust collectors, heavy lifting equipment (forklifts, cranes, slinging systems, grabbers), blowers, fans, furnaces, and automation systems.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the engineering team to design and troubleshoot heavy industrial equipment.
- Work in a process-oriented manufacturing environment, focusing on materials such as metals, ceramics, glass, and/or petrochemicals.
- Develop a solid understanding of computer programming and software development, particularly in relation to PLC systems.
- Troubleshoot equipment problems and conduct complex system tests.
- Utilize 3D modeling tools like SolidWorks for design projects.
Requirements:
- BSME degree required.
- 2 to 3 years of hands-on design and troubleshooting experience with heavy industrial equipment.
- Experience in a process-oriented manufacturing environment, preferably with high-temperature materials.
- Proficiency in computer programming and software development, with a focus on PLC systems.
- Strong mechanical troubleshooting skills and ability to conduct complex system tests.
- Preferred experience with 3D modeling tools like SolidWorks.
Compensation:
Starting salary range: $80K to $95K
Annual bonus potential: up to 5%
