Mechanical Engineering Applications Engineer

The sales application engineering process is automated through specialized industry-specific software. This internet-based engineering software streamlines the process, allowing Sales Application Engineers to focus on providing the best products for customers. The software generates quotes, proposals, and follow-ups automatically based on data entered by customers on the website. Customers can receive quotes and proposals in as little as fifteen minutes. This position does not require travel. The duties and responsibilities include:
- Spending 30% of the time on the phone, handling approximately twenty to twenty-five calls daily
- Applying engineering knowledge to effectively present company products
- Identifying and addressing customer needs
- Providing problem-solving support to customers
- Utilizing the software throughout the sales process
- Analyzing customer requirements and offering appropriate alternative proposals to sales professionals
- Communicating with customers via phone, email, and virtual platforms
Experience with combustion would be advantageous. The ideal candidate should possess the following background:
- A Bachelor's Degree in engineering
- At least five years of mechanical engineering experience
- Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in communicating with customers over the phone
- A solid mechanical aptitude
- Minimum of two years of experience in industrial sales
- Demonstrated consistent work history
- Must be a US citizen or Green Card holder
- Residence located within a 45-minute drive
