The role utilizes industry-specific, internet-based engineering software that automates the entire sales applications engineering process. The software allows customers to enter their data online, and it then generates quotes, proposals, and follow-ups automatically. This automation frees up Sales Application Engineers to focus on providing the best products for their customers. With this software, potential customers can receive quotes and proposals within as little as fifteen minutes. Travel is not required for this position. The duties and responsibilities include:
  • Spending 30% of the time on the phone, handling twenty to twenty-five calls daily
  • Applying engineering knowledge to the company's products
  • Investigating customer needs and solving problems
  • Utilizing the software throughout the sales process
  • Analyzing and presenting appropriate alternative proposals to company sales professionals
  • Communicating via telephone, email, and virtual platforms

Previous experience in heat transfer would be beneficial. Successful candidates should have the following background:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in engineering
  • At least five years of mechanical engineering experience
  • An enjoyment for speaking with customers on the phone
  • A strong mechanical aptitude
  • Two or more years of industrial sales experience
  • A solid work history
  • Being a U.S. citizen or Green Card holder
  • Residing within a 45-minute drive of Richfield, WI
