- A Bachelor's degree in engineering, with at least five years of mechanical engineering experience and two plus years of industrial sales application engineering experience, are all required for this role

- The base salary for this position is $75,000 to $90,000, with the opportunity to earn up to $30,000 in commission

As a Sales Application Engineer, you will utilize industry-specific, internet-based engineering software that automates the entire sales application process. This software allows customers to enter their data on the company's website, and quotes, proposals, and follow-ups are then automatically generated. By streamlining administrative tasks, the Sales Application Engineers can focus on delivering the best products for their customers. In as little as fifteen minutes, potential customers can receive quotes and proposals through this software. This role does not require any travel. The key responsibilities of the position include:
- Spending approximately 30% of your time on the phone with customers
- Applying your engineering expertise to the company's products
- Investigating and understanding customer needs
- Solving customer problems
- Utilizing the sales process effectively
- Creating and presenting alternative proposals to the company's sales professionals
- Communicating with customers through telephone, email, and virtual means
Previous experience in heat transfer is advantageous. The ideal candidate should possess the following qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in engineering
- At least five years of experience in mechanical engineering
- An enjoyment for speaking to customers over the phone
- A strong mechanical aptitude
- At least two years of experience in industrial sales
- A consistent and reliable work history
- United States citizenship or Green Card holder status
