Metal Engineer
We are currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced individual for the position of Metal Engineer at our New Castle, PA location. As the Metal Engineer, you will have overall responsibility for the metallurgical aspects of our products, from customer inquiry to customer service after shipment. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Evaluate and provide input on customer material specifications.
- Conduct thorough order reviews to ensure compliance with the metallurgical requirements of customer purchase orders.
- Offer technical support to our Sales Department and Operations.
- Engage in product and process development initiatives.
- Investigate customer claims and provide valuable recommendations.
- Analyze and address internal non-conformances and mechanical test failures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering
§ Minimum of five years of experience in ferrous metallurgy (Heavy metal section experience preferred)
§ Experience with Nickel and Titanium is required.
§ Proficient in Microsoft Office programs and other relevant software.
§ Strong organizational and time management skills.
§ Results-oriented with a strong desire to excel in the field.
§ Willingness to travel within the region.
