Materials Engineer
Location: Ellwood City, PA
We are currently seeking a highly qualified Materials Engineer to join our team at our New Castle, PA location. The Materials Engineer will be responsible for overseeing all metallurgical aspects of our products, from the initial customer inquiry to providing customer service after shipment.
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Review and provide feedback on customer material specifications.
- Conduct order reviews to ensure compliance with metallurgical requirements stated in customer purchase orders.
- Offer technical support to the Sales Department and Operations.
- Assist in product and process development.
- Investigate customer claims and provide recommendations for resolution.
- Analyze and address internal non-conformances and mechanical test failures.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:
§ Bachelor's degree in Metallurgy or Metallurgical Engineering
§ Five years of experience in ferrous metallurgy (Preference for experience with heavy metal sections)
§ Experience with Nickel and Titanium is required.
§ Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
§ Strong organizational skills
§ Results-oriented with a strong desire to succeed
§ Willingness to travel regionally
