MFG Plant Electrician

Location: Charleston, SC

This position follows a DuPont work schedule, which includes rotating shifts.

Purpose: The role of the MFG Plant Electrician is to ensure equipment reliability and performance by aligning with electrical and electronic industry standards, with a strong focus on workplace safety.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Improve safety, efficiency, and production output through routine and corrective maintenance.
2. Inspect, service, and repair motor control systems at low and medium voltages.
3. Perform preventative maintenance and diagnostics on motor drive systems.
4. Diagnose and resolve equipment issues utilizing PLC interfaces.
5. Minimize downtime and increase productivity by identifying and addressing electrical faults.

Requirements:

• Education:
• Associate degree in Electrical or Electronics Technology, military training in electronics, or a high school diploma combined with 3+ years of experience in electronic maintenance and repair.
• Skills:
• Knowledge of NFPA 70E/NEC safety codes.
• Comfortable working in a physically demanding manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience:

• 3 years of industrial experience with automation, instrumentation calibration, and equipment repairs.
• Familiarity with industrial control systems, and troubleshooting mechanical systems such as hydraulics and pneumatics.
