Millwright/Industrial Mechanic (2nd Shift)

Overview:
We are currently seeking a highly skilled Millwright/Industrial Mechanic to join our team at a successful aerospace facility located in Cromwell/Wallingford, CT. This role involves the repair and maintenance of industrial machinery to ensure optimal performance. The position is on the 2nd shift from Monday to Friday, starting at 3:00 PM and ending at 11:30 PM. We are looking for a candidate with a strong mechanical background, excellent problem-solving skills, and experience in the maintenance of industrial machinery, with a focus on the aerospace or manufacturing industry.
Key Responsibilities:

Industrial Machinery Maintenance:
- Perform routine maintenance and repair tasks on industrial machinery, such as CNC machines, conveyors, pumps, motors, and other mechanical systems.
- Troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues to prevent any disruptions in production.

Machinery Installation and Assembly:
- Install, assemble, and align mechanical systems and components according to engineering specifications and safety protocols.
- Ensure that all machinery is functioning effectively and safely.

Preventative Maintenance:
- Conduct regular inspections and perform preventive maintenance tasks on equipment to extend machinery lifespan and ensure reliable operation.
- Apply lubrication, make necessary adjustments, and calibrate equipment to meet performance standards.

Troubleshooting and Repairs:
- Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify mechanical failures and implement appropriate solutions.
- Respond promptly to breakdowns, carry out repairs, and test systems to restore functionality.

Safety and Compliance:
- Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to maintain a safe working environment.
- Comply with local and federal regulations regarding machinery repair, maintenance, and safety.
Qualifications:

Experience:
- Minimum of 3+ years of experience as a Millwright or Industrial Mechanic, preferably in the aerospace or manufacturing industries.
- Strong background in the repair and maintenance of industrial machinery, including motors, conveyors, and CNC equipment.

Skills:
- Proficient in the use of hand and power tools, welding equipment, and diagnostic tools.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and manuals.
- Excellent mechanical troubleshooting skills and the ability to promptly resolve issues.

Education and Certifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent is required.
- Relevant certifications (e.g., millwright, industrial maintenance) would be a plus.
