Position: NDT (Non-Destructive Testing) Training Facilitator

Location: Danville, VA

A medium-sized business in Danville, VA that specializes in Defense Training and Manufacturing is seeking to hire experienced NDT Instructors who hold a Level II NDT certification.

The ideal candidates should have the ability to effectively teach a wide range of testing methods within a condensed training program.

RESPONSIBILITIES

·   Instruction delivery

·   Student advisory

·   Lab setup and teardown

·   Consumables monitoring

·   Curriculum development support

·   Deliver NDT training in methods including Radiographic Testing (RT), Ultrasonic Testing (UT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT), and Visual & Optical Testing (VT)

REQUIREMENTS

·   Hold NDT certification equivalent to NAVSEA standards

·   Possess American Society for Nondestructive Testing Level II certification in at least one area (Radiographic Testing, Ultrasonic Testing, Magnetic Particle Testing, Liquid Penetrant Testing, or Visual & Optical Testing)

·   Experience training and/or teaching NDT or related subjects

·   Experience in the submarine industrial base is highly valued

·   Familiarity with NAVSEA Technical Publication for NDT Methods

·   Certified Weld Inspector (CWI) certification and experience with NDT of welds

Additional Information

-   Onsite Instruction – Initially only 1st shift, but Instructors are expected to support all shifts and training needs as the program grows

-   Candidates must be US Citizens or US Permanent Residents due to contracts with the United States Government

-   Minimal relocation assistance can be provided on a case-by-case basis
