NICU Nurse Manager (Evening Shift)
Location: Downey, CA
Compensation: $185,000 - $250,000 per year + Performance Bonus + Sign On Bonus & Relocation Assistance

The work hours for this position are approximately 12pm – 8:30pm.

We are seeking a skilled Nurse Manager to oversee the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) department and ensure the delivery of safe patient care. In this role, you will manage nursing services, implement nursing standards, and achieve performance goals. You will also be responsible for managing a team of approximately 141 NICU employees.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the delivery of nursing services to meet cost, quality, and clinical standards
  • Establish and maintain patient care and service standards
  • Develop strategic plans to integrate services across the continuum of care
  • Manage department budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities
  • Recruit, train, and maintain a competent nursing staff
  • Develop departmental policies and procedures to meet organizational goals
  • Resolve human resource and risk management issues
  • Promote a culture of safety and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements
  • Participate in leadership committees and forums

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of clinical nursing experience
  • At least 3 years of management or leadership experience
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in nursing
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing
  • Registered Nurse License (California)
  • Basic Life Support certification

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience with electronic medical record
  • Master's degree
  • National Certification in specialty
  • BSN and RNC-NIC certification
