Job Summary
The Charity Organization Director will serve as the main administrative leader of the organization, reporting directly to the Board of Directors. Responsibilities include managing daily operations, fundraising, community outreach, volunteer coordination, and strategic planning to achieve the organization's goals.

Key Duties
Mission and Vision

Ensure all activities align with the organization's mission and vision

Collaborate with the Board to set and implement strategic objectives

Evaluate programs and initiatives to enhance impact and effectiveness
Board Collaboration

Act as the primary liaison between the Board and staff

Coordinate Board meetings and provide necessary information and reports

Assist in board development, governance, and succession planning

Participate in board retreats and maintain important organizational documents
Community Engagement and Communication

Manage internal and external communications to promote the organization's work

Publicize events, campaigns, and community outreach efforts

Establish partnerships with other charitable organizations and community stakeholders

Review and refine communication strategies on an ongoing basis
Volunteer Coordination

Work closely with volunteers to ensure efficient operations and program delivery

Recruit and retain volunteers for various initiatives and events

Monitor volunteer engagement and provide support and recognition

Ensure a positive volunteer experience within the organization
Fundraising and Financial Oversight

Collaborate with the Treasurer on financial management and budgeting

Lead fundraising campaigns and seek new funding opportunities

Operational Management

Requirements

Proven leadership experience in nonprofit or charity organizations

Strong financial acumen and budget management skills
