- Graduate of an accredited nursing school with a Registered Nurse (RN) license in Washington state
- Current certification in Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
- Prior nursing experience in an acute care setting, with proficiency in conscious/moderate sedation and patient monitoring and interpretation
- Excellent clinical assessment skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in IV access
- Knowledge of diagnostic imaging procedures and patient care in the diagnostic setting
- Full-time position: Monday-Friday, 7:30am-4pm
- Compensation range: $40.75/hr-$77.50/hr (based on experience)

- Educate patients and their families about the nature of diagnostic imaging procedures, potential risks, and expected outcomes
- Assess patients' medical history, vital signs, and specific needs to ensure their comfort and well-being throughout the imaging process
- Facilitate the scheduling of invasive procedures with Radiologists and Scheduling staff
- Ensure clear communication of pre- and post-procedure care instructions, address questions and concerns, attend patient consultations, and provide follow-up calls
- Collaborate with Radiologists, Technologists, and other healthcare team members to support diagnostic imaging procedures, including FNA and Biopsies
- Ensure proper sterilization, calibration, and readiness of all equipment and instruments
- Administer medications, insert IVs, monitor vital signs, perform suctions, insert Foleys, and assist patients with their personal needs
- Monitor patients' response to procedures and provide immediate care or intervention in case of complications
- Inform Technologists or Radiologists of any unusual patient needs, perform specialized nursing duties during special procedures (e.g., administering IV sedation or analgesia) and closely monitor patients with cardiac/pulse oximeters
- Assist MRI Tech by positioning patient breast(s) for imaging
- Order and administer medications or contrast agents as required, and monitor patients for adverse reactions
- Act as a specimen navigator by printing labels, scanning wristbands, documenting, preparing specimens, and delivering them to the lab on time
- Participate in conscious and/or moderate sedation, as well as patient monitoring during cardiac stress tests, as needed
- Maintain accurate and comprehensive patient records, including medical history, assessment data, and procedural notes
- Identify and document unexpected adverse reactions or unusual occurrences during diagnostic imaging procedures, and report them to appropriate healthcare professionals
- Participate in MQSA Breast program, QA/CQI Interdisciplinary Activities, and Professional Practice Activities
- Adhere to strict infection control protocols and safety guidelines, ensuring cleanliness and sterility of the department
- Follow radiation safety practices and protective measures to minimize exposure risks
- Assist in writing patient care policies, designing flowsheets or patient instruction sheets, and developing protocols or care plans
- Make recommendations to referring physicians, patients, and patients' families under the guidance of the Interventional Radiologist
