Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in nursing and a current Washington State Registered Nurse license
- Three to five years of acute care clinical nursing experience, with experience in various acute care nursing departments
- Advanced knowledge of Case Management and Utilization Review processes, including familiarity with InterQual and acute-care patient status regulations and guidelines
- Preferred certifications in ACLS, BLS, TNCC, and PALS
Hours and compensation:
- This is a full-time position, with shifts lasting 12 hours (7pm-7am) and a rotating weekend schedule
- Compensation ranges from $45.00/hr to $75.00/hr based on experience, with a $5/hr shift differential
- Full benefits package, including relocation assistance of up to $5,000 and a sign-on bonus of up to $15,000
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the House Supervisor for a 50-bed rural healthcare facility
- Collect and analyze data on patient admissions, transfers, and bed availability in specific clinical areas to enhance patient care and optimize bed utilization
- Make sure patients are assigned to the most suitable level of care and bed assignment, following admission criteria, and act as a liaison between Physicians, Nursing Leadership, Nursing Unit staff, Care Management Staff, and other key stakeholders to ensure smooth operations
- Assume the role of Administrator on Duty in the absence of the Chief Nursing Officer, making administrative decisions, providing guidance and supervision for operational issues across all hospital departments
- Report directly to the Chief Nursing Officer
