OPERATING ROOM NURSE MANAGER
Location: Modesto, CA
Salary: $185,000 - $280,000 + 10% Bonus + 10% Signing Bonus

We are seeking a Nurse Manager to oversee our Operating Room and Surgical Services departments. In this role, you will ensure that our staff provide high-quality, accessible, and cost-effective care to patients while complying with all local, state, and federal regulations. You will be responsible for maintaining clinical standards of care and practice, as well as managing the department's resources and budget.
Essential Responsibilities:
- Manage the operations of the 24-hour departments, which may be located at multiple sites, to ensure the highest quality of care and compliance with regulations.
- Establish and maintain patient care and service standards that meet the expectations of our members and internal clients.
- Design and evaluate processes to improve systems and patient care outcomes across the continuum of care.
- Develop and monitor budgets to appropriately allocate resources, and identify strategies to reduce costs and enhance the quality of care and services.
- Determine the appropriate staffing levels for the department, and implement processes for hiring, training, and maintaining the competence of all staff members. Foster ongoing staff development and address any human resource, employee, or department safety issues that arise.
- Develop and implement departmental policies and procedures that align with our organizational goals and objectives, and ensure their compliance.
- Oversee the development of standards of care and practice, as well as fiscal management and quality improvement activities.
Basic Qualifications:
- Minimum of four (4) years of clinical nursing experience in the relevant specialty area as required by the department.
- Four (4) years of management, supervisory, or leadership experience.
Education:
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's Degree in Nursing, or Master's Degree in Nursing earned through a direct entry MSN program.
License, Certification, Registration:
- Registered Nurse License (California) required at hire.
- Basic Life Support certification.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Two (2) years of management experience.
- One (1) year of Magnet/shared governance experience.
- One (1) year of managing in a bargaining environment.
- Master's degree preferred.
- 5 years of recent experience managing/supervising the Main OR within the last 7 years.
- CNOR certificate.
