TITLE: Nurse / RN Circulator

LOCATION: Lexington, Kentucky

What they are looking for:

- An Associates Degree in Nursing is required. A Bachelors Degree in Nursing is preferred.

- Must have experience as a Circulator.

- Certifications required: BLS, ACLS

- Must have an active RN license in the state of Kentucky.

Hours and compensation potential:

- Positions are on the day shift and the person must be able to rotate on-call responsibilities.

- Looking for candidates with experience working in the Operating Room (OR).

- Hourly pay range is between $30-$44, depending on experience. They offer an excellent benefit package and may provide relocation or sign-on bonuses.

What you will be doing:

  • Performing plan of care intervention, including medication administration, specimen collection, clinical treatments, and other medical care treatments.
  • Documenting patient care given.
  • Monitoring, recording, and communicating patient condition to the care team, physician, patient, and family.
  • Ensuring surgical asepsis, sterile technique, and preparing and positioning patients for procedures.
  • Collaborating with other disciplines to coordinate patient care, including patient transfer, discharge, referral, and spiritual/psychosocial support needs.
  • Evaluating patient and/or family learning needs and providing appropriate education throughout the perioperative process.
  • Advocating for the physical and emotional well-being of the patient.
  • Assessing and caring for the surgical patient throughout the intraoperative process, assisting with preoperative preparation and postoperative care.
  • Operating specialized equipment for procedures and maintaining a safe surgical environment.

The hospital is an 80-bed acute care facility that is Joint Commission Accredited.

This position reports to the Director of OR and you will be working with a great team.
