Our founders have successfully launched and developed leading retail healthcare organizations in urgent care and veterinary care. The Medical Spa Category combines day spas with plastic surgery/dermatology, offering medical-grade aesthetic services supervised by healthcare professionals. This $20 billion sector is growing at a rate of 12-15% annually, driven by the increasing acceptance of aesthetics and consumer desire to look and feel their best. General Position Description:

The Director of Operations Excellence will lead and execute strategic projects to drive operational excellence and achieve organizational goals. This includes overseeing the successful launch of new locations and initiatives. The role requires executing scalable, mission-critical projects with excellence and a sense of urgency.

Key Responsibilities:

Operations Excellence:

  • Develop and implement a management system to facilitate the execution of priorities, initiatives, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).
  • Create and implement scalable business models, frameworks, and processes to ensure operational excellence, improving effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Establish KPIs to measure operational effectiveness and track progress towards goals.
  • Lead continuous improvement efforts to enhance overall operational performance, streamline workflows, and eliminate inefficiencies.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and innovation to drive operational excellence.

Project Management:

  • Lead strategic projects, including new location launches, from start to finish.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to create launch plans, including market and customer analyses, competitive research, and go-to-market strategies.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for effective project execution and desired outcomes.
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and external partners to ensure timely and within-budget project deliverables.
  • Oversee project progress, identify risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to keep projects on track and within scope.
  • Conduct post-launch analyses, incorporating learnings for continuous improvement in subsequent launches.

Communications and Talent Development:

  • Create and implement communication and training programs to facilitate successful adoption of business models, processes, and frameworks.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and coaching to the team, fostering a culture of operational excellence.
  • Promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.

Stakeholder Management:

  • Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including senior leadership, studio teams, project teams, and external partners.
  • Regularly communicate with stakeholders to provide updates on project statuses, operational performance, and launch initiatives.
  • Act as a trusted advisor, providing insights, recommendations, and strategic guidance to drive business growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in business administration, operations management, project management, or a related field (master’s degree preferred).
  • Experience in developing business models, frameworks, and process tools to drive operational excellence at scale.
  • Experience with multi-site, multi-state healthcare.
  • Proven project management skills, leading complex projects from start to finish.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail, utilizing data insights for decision-making and improvement.
  • Excellent communication skills, including experience creating formal communication plans. Formal change management training is a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams and influencing stakeholders at all levels.
  • Experience in launching new sites and services.
  • PMP, Six Sigma, or other relevant certifications are a plus.
