OD Manager

Location: Spring Grove, IL

Position Summary:

The OD Manager is responsible for fostering a strong learning and development culture within three locations in Spring Grove, IL. This role involves collaborating with others to create and implement an organizational structure and sustainable process that builds the necessary skills to support evolving business needs and develop future leaders.

Essential Job Duties and Responsibilities

  • Developing infrastructure and processes to support leadership development, succession planning, skills training, apprenticeship and internship programs, and flex labor.
  • Organizing and leading a companywide Talent Management process.
  • Providing expertise in strategy development and execution, planning and facilitating development initiatives.
  • Collaborating with Corporate and Manufacturing teams to assess developmental needs, drive training initiatives, and identify suitable training solutions for employees.
  • Designing and implementing effective methods to educate, enhance, and recognize performance.
  • Consulting and advising management on performance, organizational, and leadership matters.
  • Conducting ongoing needs assessments to enhance employee job performance and overall company performance.
  • Directing needs assessments for training and staff development.
  • Proposing training and development programs and objectives based on business priorities.
  • Assisting in the design and development of HR training programs.
  • Evaluating and measuring the results of completed training.
  • Developing and monitoring the company training budget.
  • Exemplifying the desired culture and philosophies of the organization.
  • Working effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff.
  • Evaluating training courses, materials, objectives, and accomplishments.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Leadership Development, or Organizational Training and Development.
  • 8-10 plus years of experience in organizational development and training.
  • 5 years experience leading organizational change at a management level.
  • Both corporate and manufacturing human resources experience is a plus.
