Outbound Sales Representative – Durham, NC

Location: Durham, NC

We are seeking a highly motivated individual for the position of Outbound Sales Representative located in Durham, NC. This role involves making cold calls and actively prospecting new customers within a specific geographic territory.

As an Outbound Sales Representative, you will work closely with Territory Sales Managers to provide exceptional service to customers in the area. Your responsibilities will include conducting prospecting calls using various methods such as reports, referrals, and local media. Additionally, you will respond to all incoming leads and ensure that every customer is followed up with to minimize the risk of losing business.

To be successful in this role, you must effectively communicate the value proposition of our company and products to customers. You will need to anticipate and overcome objections and have the ability to close deals. It is also important to proactively communicate ideas for additional offerings to our commercial leadership and maintain strong relationships with major customers.

Qualifications:

  • Minimum 1 year of experience in outbound sales, cold calling, and emailing
  • AS or BS degree preferred, but not required
  • Certifications in selling and sales management are ideal
  • Previous successful phone selling skills are preferred
  • Demonstrated consultative, solution-selling approach
  • Experience and success in a highly goal-oriented setting
  • Ability to thrive in a dynamic, entrepreneurial, time-sensitive, collaborative environment
  • Positive attitude with a winning mindset
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, transactional ecosystem
  • Experience selling to regional businesses
  • Familiarity with Salesforce CRM tools, social media marketing, and networking is ideal
  • General knowledge of the construction process and site services is a plus
