Legal Assistant (Corporate/Probate)

Responsibilities
- Collaborate on the preparation of contracts, wills, trusts, and probate filings.
- Draft, organize, and manage estate planning, trust administration, and real estate documentation.
- Obtain essential documents and records from clients, as well as state and local agencies.
- Liaise with probate courts regarding estate administration and deed recording.
- Provide direct client support by gathering information, scheduling, and delivering documents.
- Take ownership of files, ensuring organized schedules and timely project completion.
- Maintain professionalism in client interactions, whether in-person, via phone, or virtually.
- Accurately record billable time daily and review/edit billing proformas monthly.
- Effectively manage multiple tasks, delivering high-quality work within deadlines.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a high school diploma or GED (a four-year degree and/or paralegal certification preferred).
- At least 3-5 years of experience as a paralegal in business/corporate law (bankruptcy experience is a plus).
- High proficiency in MS Office Suite and familiarity with document management systems.
- Strong technology skills, with experience using electronic resources and legal support software.
- Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, paired with meticulous proofreading abilities.
- Demonstrated organizational and time management skills, with great attention to detail.
