Legal Assistant - Labor and Employment Disputes
Please note: This role requires employees to be present in the office five days a week at our client’s Cerritos or San Diego, CA location (2 positions available).

Job Description
- Manage litigation cases from intake to trial and closure
- Draft and respond to discovery requests, including subpoenas and document productions
- Prepare deposition and trial materials such as witness and exhibit lists, subpoenas, and on-call letters
- Conduct background checks and online investigations
- Summarize depositions, medical records, and discovery responses
- Coordinate with expert witnesses, including obtaining CVs and fee schedules
- Maintain and organize case files, trial binders, and document databases
- Assist attorneys in utilizing litigation tools and databases (e.g., Eclipse, CaseMap, LAW)
- Track subpoenaed records, maintain detailed indexes, and ensure timely document review
- Collaborate closely with litigation technology teams for e-discovery processing, document coding, OCR, and batch exports
- Ensure accurate timekeeping and meet billable hours targets
Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of litigation paralegal experience
- Strong understanding of discovery, trial preparation, and subpoena processes
- Familiarity with litigation support tools like Eclipse (IPro), LAW, and CaseMap
- Comfortable managing high-volume document review and database maintenance
- Highly organized with keen attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
