Hours and Compensation Potential:

• This is a full-time position on day shift.

• Compensation ranges from $19.93 to $27.44 per hour, depending on experience, and includes a comprehensive benefits package.

What We're Seeking:

• A minimum of two years of experience in Payroll or a related field.

• High school diploma or higher education.

• Knowledge of the Workday payroll system is a plus.

• Strong computer skills, including proficiency in PC applications and prior experience with payroll systems.

• Familiarity with governmental regulations that impact payroll processes.

Responsibilities:

• Analyze and coordinate the preparation of payroll reports on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis, ensuring accurate and timely paychecks for healthcare system employees.

• Provide detailed communication to internal and external customers.

• Compile and analyze data and reports for accurate distribution to customers.

• Maintain and provide training for all Approvers/Editors to the API Time and Attendance System.

• Prepare and submit required forms to all government tax entities on a weekly, biweekly, and monthly basis.

• Learn and implement functional processes or changes to all payroll systems.

• Troubleshoot and provide solutions for payroll computer applications.

• Execute technical payroll processing procedures for weekly, biweekly, and monthly payrolls.

• Implement governmental regulation standards that affect departmental processes.

• Facilitate changes or set up system tables related to Payroll in Peoplesoft and API Systems.

• Serve as a resource for payroll associates, supporting their development.

• Act as a backup to, and fulfill the role of, the payroll manager when required.

Additional Info:

This position reports to the Payroll Manager and is part of a 3-person team. The payroll specialist will handle payroll for over 4,000 employees and physicians. We prefer candidates already residing in Ohio.
