What we are searching for:
• Must be currently registered as a Certified Pharmacy Technician in the State of Ohio or eligible for registration.
• Pharmacy Technician Certification Board (PTCB) certification is required.
Hours and compensation:
• We have positions available in a hospital setting, outpatient setting, and home infusion. These positions are for either 32 or 40 hours per week and require weekend rotation.
• The salary range is between $17.50 - $24.72 per hour, depending on experience. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
Your responsibilities will include:
• Assisting the pharmacist in various aspects of drug preparation and distribution, such as unit-of-use packaging, automated floor stock maintenance (PYXIS), unit inspection completion, drug box and crash cart replenishment and maintenance, and using computer applications to support the overall pharmaceutical care program.
• Specific to the Pharmacy Tech position:
- Preparing patient-specific drug orders quickly and accurately for final checks by the pharmacist.
- Conducting interviews with patients and their families to determine their current medications.
- Performing certain checks on work completed by pharmacy technicians or other support personnel to expedite distribution functions and allow professional staff more time for clinical support.
- Replenishing drug boxes and crash carts from different patient care areas of the hospital.
- Assisting in providing educational in-service programs on distribution and automation systems to share the latest technology with care providers.
- Assisting in the inventory management of pharmaceuticals and working with purchasing staff to minimize stock outages and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
- Conducting interviews with patients and their families to determine their current medications.

- Assisting in the inventory management of pharmaceuticals and working with purchasing staff to minimize stock outages and maintain appropriate inventory levels.
• Specific to the Chemo IV Tech position:
- Responsible for daily surveillance and documentation of USP 797 and USP 800 environmental controls.
- Ensuring daily required cleaning of the IV ante and clean rooms is completed.
- Supervising environmental service personnel for monthly IV ante and clean room terminal cleaning.
- Participating in routine surface sampling as required by USP 797 and USP 800 regulations.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of the principles of HEPA filtered unidirectional airflow and its effects on the compounding area.
- Completing annual competence assessment related to IV and chemotherapy compounding.
- Ensuring daily required cleaning of the IV ante and clean rooms is completed.
- Supervising environmental service personnel for monthly IV ante and clean room terminal cleaning.
- Participating in routine surface sampling as required by USP 797 and USP 800 regulations.
- Maintaining a working knowledge of the principles of HEPA filtered unidirectional airflow and its effects on the compounding area.
