Physical Therapist Assistant, PTA - Full Time

We are in search of a knowledgeable and licensed Physical Therapist Assistant to work closely with our physical therapist in delivering exceptional care to patients.

Your role will entail assisting individuals in enhancing their mobility and functionality while dealing with medical conditions or limitations.

The Physical Therapist Assistant provides support to patients in carrying out their treatment plans and participating in therapeutic activities. This includes administering manual physical exercises, instructing and encouraging patients in non-manual exercises, assisting with ambulatory functional activities and daily living tasks, as well as applying assistive and supportive care. The PTA will also assess and interpret evaluations and test results, collaborate with physicians to determine physical therapy treatment plans, and maintain proper documentation of patient care services. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Providing follow-up visits to home health orthopedic patients
  • Continuously meeting eligibility requirements for home health services
  • Assisting patients in using supportive devices like crutches, canes, and prostheses
  • Instructing and counseling patients on therapeutic regimens, normal growth and development, and promoting general wellness and health maintenance
  • Maintaining a safe and clean working environment by adhering to procedures, rules, regulations, and infection-control policies and protocols
  • Monitoring treatment trends and ensuring physical therapy services align with production objectives
  • Driving as a requirement

  • Completion of an accredited Physical Therapy Assistant Program

  • Must possess licensure in the state

  • Minimum of 1 year of home health experience as a Physical Therapist Assistant

  • Strong interpersonal skills and genuine care for others

  • Valid driver's license and clean driving record
