Rehabilitation Specialist
Location: Washington, DC
Our client operates multiple locations throughout the greater Washington, DC Metro Market (including Virginia and Maryland). They are looking to expand in the coming years.
Primary Responsibilities
- Evaluate referred patients in need of rehabilitation services, including assessing their medical condition, functional capabilities, limitations, and potential for rehabilitation
- Design and implement treatment programs with specific goals based on the patient's capacity and tolerance, under the guidance of the Physician
- Establish realistic and attainable goals for patients, document their condition, and educate them and their families on appropriate physical therapy methods
- Create individualized care plans for each physical therapy patient
- Deliver skilled physical therapy services and interventions as prescribed by physicians
- Assess patient needs, evaluate care effectiveness, and modify treatment accordingly
- Collaborate with other disciplines to plan and assess team goals for each patient
Requirements:
- A degree from an accredited Physical Therapy program.
- State licensure as a Physical Therapist in Washington, DC.
- CPR for Healthcare Providers certification.
- Experience using electronic medical records.
- Ability to work effectively in a decentralized organization.
- Familiarity with CPT & ICD-10 coding procedures, Medicare, third-party billing, Workers Compensation insurance, and their unique features and requirements.
