POSITION DESCRIPTION:

This is a full-time role at our office in Hempstead, NY for an Associate Attorney. In this position, you will be responsible for representing clients who have experienced personal injuries in New York.

• Manage a case load, appear in court, negotiate settlements, oversee trial preparations, conduct trials, and attend meditations and arbitrations.
• Advise clients on claim liability and their legal rights, interpret laws, rulings, and regulations.
• Conduct depositions and respond to discovery requests.
• Ability to perform discovery and draft motions.
• Gather evidence to initiate and support legal actions, including interviewing clients and witnesses to ascertain the facts of the case.
• Evaluate findings and develop strategies and arguments in preparation for presenting cases.
• Keep up-to-date with job knowledge by participating in educational opportunities and reading professional publications.

MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in personal injury law.
• Trial experience is highly preferred.
• Spanish language skills are a plus but not required.
• Must have a valid license to practice law in the State of New York.

Salary range is $110,000 - $130,000 per year. In addition to the salary, there is a 40% commission on all originated cases that are settled. We also offer a comprehensive benefits package.
