Position: Pivot Irrigation Sales Manager

Location: Omaha, NE

International Irrigation Company is seeking a talented individual to assist in expanding sales in the mechanized (Pivot & Linear) Irrigation market.

This position requires hands-on sales and support, involving interactions with customers, dealers, engineering firms, and end users.

The ideal candidate should be located in the Midwest, preferably within a few hours of Omaha, and possess extensive sales experience with one or more of the major Mechanized Irrigation companies.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee the company’s Mechanized Irrigation sales operations.
  • Handle sales and marketing activities, including participation in relevant trade shows.
  • Provide technical support, including supplying product/technical information, engineering specifications, technical submittals, and troubleshooting assistance to dealers, consulting engineers, end-users, and other sales representatives.
  • Develop and expand the company’s customer base.
  • Offer pre- and post-sales support, from project request to integrated solution implementation.
  • Manage and support dealers and distribution accounts, including joint sales calls, presentations, and participation in local trade shows.
  • Conduct field service calls to end users and growers within the region.
  • Ensure customer feedback regarding new product needs and product improvements is obtained and addressed.
  • Monitor key client and industry activities and remain abreast of competitors’ products and activities.
  • Contribute to the establishment of expense budgets for the territory, estimate future sales goals, and prepare quarterly sales forecasts.
  • Regularly review the status of outstanding proposals with clients and end-users.
  • Handle customer inquiries in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.

Required Competencies / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical field, or equivalent experience..
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role, with familiarity in pivot and linear irrigation systems.
  • Knowledge of water hydraulic control products, including valves and air vents in the Pivot Market.
  • Proficiency in standard business office software (Microsoft Office) and CRM software.
  • Self-motivated and accountable, with the ability to work independently and handle multiple projects from remote locations.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical ability, and professional demeanor.
  • Aptitude for financial calculations, forecasting, and budget management.
