Position: Pivot Irrigation Channel Sales Manager

Location: Omaha, NE

International Irrigation Company seeks an individual to expand sales in the mechanized irrigation market.

This role involves hands-on sales and support, interacting with customers, dealers, engineering companies, and end users. The main responsibility is to manage relationships with Valmont, Reinke, T&L, Lindsey, and other major mechanized irrigation companies.

The ideal candidate should be located in the Midwest, preferably within a few hours of Omaha, and have significant sales experience with one or more large mechanized irrigation companies.


  • Responsible for the company’s mechanized irrigation sales activities.
  • Provide sales and marketing support, including attending trade shows.
  • Offer technical support, including product/technical information, engineering specifications, and troubleshooting to dealers, consulting engineers, end-users, and other sales representatives.
  • Develop and expand the company’s customer base.
  • Provide pre- and post-sales support for integrated solutions.
  • Manage and support dealers and distribution accounts through joint sales calls, presentations, and participation in local trade shows.
  • Make field service calls to end users and growers in the region.
  • Gather feedback from customers regarding new product needs and improvements.
  • Monitor key client and industry actions.
  • Stay informed about competitors’ products and activities.
  • Assist in establishing expense budgets and quarterly sales forecasts for the territory.
  • Regularly review the status of outstanding proposals with clients and end-users.
  • Handle customer inquiries in a timely, courteous, and professional manner.

Required Competencies / Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in an engineering or technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
  • 3-5 years of experience in a similar role with knowledge of pivot/linear irrigation.
  • Familiarity with water hydraulic control products, including valves and air vents in the pivot market.
  • Proficiency in standard business office software (Microsoft Office) and CRM software.
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently and handle multiple projects.
  • Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, diplomacy, analytical ability, and professional demeanor.
  • Ability to perform financial calculations, forecasting, and budget management.
