Power Plant Engineer
Summary of Duties: The Power Plant Engineer, under the direction of the Plant Manager, is responsible for overseeing the energy delivery process and managing daily operations at the plant in Tulsa, OK. This includes managing the Energy Offtaker’s schedules, monitoring and improving performance criteria, and ensuring compliance with various agreements and guidelines. The Power Plant Engineer will also provide support for troubleshooting and maintenance activities. Primary Responsibilities: - Generate daily reports on plant's maximum output for Energy Offtaker's scheduling - Review and assist in plant dispatching based on energy schedules - Ensure compliance with NERC standards and participate in compliance committee activities - Coordinate annual capacity test to determine plant's contract capacity - Administer Power Purchase Agreement and ensure compliance with terms and conditions - Monitor plant availability and troubleshoot operational and maintenance issues - Track and manage performance of control system and plant's generation imbalance - Monitor thermodynamic performance of plant and investigate performance issues - Assist with special projects assigned by management
Required Qualifications: - Bachelor's degree in Engineering - 6+ years of experience in power generating facilities and transmission systems - Strong analytical and problem-solving skills - Excellent leadership and communication skills |
