Facilities Engineering Manager

Location: Akron, OH

FACILITIES ENGINEERING MANAGER

Work Arrangements: 100% onsite

In this role you will:

  • Work collaboratively with HR and the Consumer Division Engineering team to determine staffing and resource requirements
  • Coach and develop the plant engineering team and provide ongoing performance management
  • Manage the plant capital budget, tracking spending and making adjustments as necessary
  • Develop the plant's 5-Year Capital Plan, coordinating with finance, operations, and the Consumer Division Masterplans
  • Lead the Initiative Management (IM) Pillar for the plant, implementing tools and providing coaching to plant resources
  • Ensure effective and efficient execution of projects, managing project spending and purchasing standards
  • Ensure successful project start-ups by developing equipment standards and specifications
  • Participate in and provide technical feedback for new initiatives and product development, collaborating with R&D
  • Maintain property records for the site, manage document preparations for permits, and develop facilities master plans
  • Manage the facilities department and plant systems team
  • Oversee the electrical distribution system and wastewater system health and compliance
  • Develop and implement the plant's Business Continuity Plan
  • Manage technical safety programs and ensure compliance with safety and environmental requirements
  • Work with Sustainability Leaders to meet sustainability goals

What we are looking for:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering
  • 7 years of engineering experience
  • 5 years of manufacturing experience
  • Demonstrated capability in leading large and complex teams
  • Strategic leadership experience
  • Capital project management experience
  • People management experience
  • Profit and Loss or Cost Center experience
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule
  • Experience in relevant technologies

Additional skills and experience that we think would make someone successful in this role:

· Food or Beverage industry experience strongly preferred

  • Demonstrated experience in building a high-performance work culture and systems
  • Keen eye for detail and the ability to collaborate effectively across disciplines and at all levels
