Manufacturing Facility Supervisor

Location: Decatur, AL

Growing manufacturing company located in Decatur, Alabama is seeking a Plant Manager. This position is a permanent role with a comprehensive benefits package and relocation assistance.

Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the daily manufacturing operations of the facility by effectively managing and coordinating workflow to ensure the successful execution of the production plan, meeting or exceeding safety, quality, delivery, and value objectives.
  • Cultivate a safety-first culture by maintaining a secure work environment and driving continuous improvements in environmental, health, and safety practices.
  • Ensure compliance with all environmental regulations and other third-party requirements.
  • Implement and maintain standardized manufacturing processes to optimize efficiency and productivity.
  • Drive initiatives to improve customer value and increase profitability, such as reducing material costs, improving labor efficiency, and managing expenses.
  • Develop operational plans aligned with corporate goals, strategically and tactically, to achieve key performance indicators.
  • Collaborate with the purchasing and procurement department to meet and exceed business plans within defined cost management, quality, working capital, and delivery objectives.
  • Coach, mentor, and develop the operations team, fostering leadership and technical skills.
  • Promote collaboration and cross-functional teamwork at all levels, internally and externally, to resolve issues and improve overall performance.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Proven leadership experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Strong background in implementing lean manufacturing principles or theory of constraint methods.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage and develop a team.
  • Commitment to continuous improvement and operational excellence.
  • Deep understanding of Safety Program concepts and principles.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Creative problem solver with a systematic approach.
  • Demonstrated leadership in plant growth, including experience with new equipment implementation, brownfield or greenfield projects, human capital planning, and organizational capacity planning.
