POSITION: Director of Plant Operations – U.S.
LOCATION: Winston-Salem, NC
A leading international company specializing in plastic packaging and material handling solutions is in need of a skilled leader to drive operations and revenue growth in the U.S.
The Director of Plant Operations will be in charge of overseeing daily operations at the company's manufacturing facility in the U.S. and leading the sales strategy to promote growth.
This role demands exceptional leadership, operational expertise, business acumen, and a comprehensive understanding of plastic manufacturing and supply chain operations.
Ideal candidates will have experience in manufacturing and selling to industries such as retail, food and beverage, agriculture, pharmaceuticals, chemicals, paper/plastics, and automated warehouses.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Operations Management
- Lead and oversee all plant operations, including production, quality control, maintenance, inventory, and logistics.
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and regulatory standards.
- Implement efficient manufacturing practices to increase productivity and reduce waste.
- Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cost management for plant operations.
- Supervise equipment and facility maintenance to ensure optimal performance and reliability.
Sales & Commercial Leadership
- Develop and execute sales strategies in alignment with corporate goals.
- Drive new business while nurturing existing customer relationships.
- Collaborate with marketing and product teams to support customer engagement and retention.
- Monitor market trends and customer needs to shape product and pricing strategies.
Leadership & Collaboration
- Build, mentor, and lead a high-performing team spanning operations and sales.
- Coordinate with global management and teams in Israel to ensure alignment.
- Represent the U.S. operations in executive deliberations and planning.
QUALIFICATIONS
- More than 10 years of experience in manufacturing operations, with a focus in plastics or packaging preferred.
- Over 5 years in a leadership role with profit and loss accountability.
- Demonstrated success in leading operations and sales teams is highly desirable.
- Thorough knowledge of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, and industrial sales.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, or related field (an MBA is a plus).
- Superb communication, analytical, and organizational abilities.
