Quality Assurance Engineer - Lemont, IL

  • Serve as project leader for the design and implementation of Advanced Control / Optimization projects.
  • Offer technical advice to Process/Project Engineering and Operations on complex process control systems.
  • Analyze process operations to enhance and optimize unit performance and profitability.
  • Responsible for maintaining and operating infrastructure and software for control and safety functions.
  • Ensure the continuous development and performance of Advanced Process Control technologies.
  • Provide technical guidance on complex process control systems, including design, troubleshooting, and control loop/instrument tuning.
  • Implement and support the basic Process Control System (DCS), Multivariable control (MVC), Safety Instrumented System (SIS), and Programmable Logic Controller (PLC) hardware and software.
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Process Control or Chemical Engineering with a minimum of 3 years of experience in process control or a related field in the refining/chemical industry OR 8 years of control board/Operations supervision experience in lieu of a degree.
  • Proficient in computer skills, with experience in modeling, multivariable control, and DeltaV configuration as a plus.
  • Experience in various process control skills, including DCS configuration, PLC configuration, multivariable control (design, implementation, and maintenance), and instrument tuning.
  • Strong communication skills, self-directed, with a focus on providing excellent customer service. The ability to work effectively in a team is essential.
  • Must possess a valid driver's license.
  • Must be able to obtain a Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC).

Eligibility Requirements: The Maritime Transportation Security Act requires all individuals who will require unescorted access to a regulated facility to have a valid Transportation Worker Identification Credential (TWIC), issued in accordance with the rules established by the United States Coast Guard and the Transportation Security Administration. All candidates must be eligible to receive a TWIC in order to be considered for an offer.
