Location: Memphis, TN
Process Engineer

Location: Memphis, TN

Work Arrangements: On-site, 100%
• Willingness to adapt work schedule to meet business requirements (including off shifts, nights, weekends, holidays, etc.)
• Willingness to travel for Factory Acceptance Tests
(Travel may include domestic or international travel, typically 1-2 times per year)

In this role, you will:

  • Attain an advanced understanding of the manufacturing process, mechanics, instrumentation, and product specifications specific to your assigned line/area. Offer technical support to line/area teams. Provide coaching to engineers, operating teams, and leadership for the identification and elimination of root causes of losses.
  • Improve safety, quality, and productivity by eliminating defects, identifying and executing loss-saving initiatives, and fostering capability development in operating teams.
  • Lead the Commissioning, Qualification, and Verification (CQV) process for new projects. Serve as the primary point of contact and a key organizational leader between the engineering and operations teams, ensuring involvement throughout project execution and a seamless transition to operations.
  • Address performance gaps in the line/area through the implementation and effective coaching of the company's Continuous Improvement methodologies, promoting a culture of zero losses.
  • Actively participate in training and qualification programs for the designated line/area. Take part in assessments, ensure effective training, and maintain consistent qualification standards.
  • Manage reliability and quality data for the designated line/area using Proficy plant applications software, continuously improving methods for accurate data collection.
  • Employ effective interpersonal skills, time management, and resource management to successfully complete project assignments.

What we are seeking:

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in manufacturing.
  • Self-motivated and able to work effectively with minimal direct supervision.
  • Ability to learn technical processes and systems.

Additional skills and experience that we believe will contribute to success in this role:

  • Degree in Mechanical, Chemical, or Electrical Engineering.
  • Experience in electrical controls/PLC.
  • Background in food manufacturing.
  • Strong project management skills and technical problem-solving capability.
  • Demonstrated use of formal problem-solving methodologies.
  • Ability to work collaboratively and exert influence within a team environment.
