Manufacturing Engineer

Location: Jackson, TN

The job position is Process Engineer located in Jackson, TN. The Process Engineer is responsible for planning the use of facilities, equipment, materials, and personnel to enhance operational efficiency while upholding Company safety standards.

  • Minimum requirement: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME)
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience


  • Provide support to manufacturing operations as needed
  • Analyze functional statements, project information, and organization charts to determine responsibilities and functions of team members, identifying areas of redundancy
  • Establish work measurement programs and analyze work samples to develop labor utilization standards
  • Create standardized work instructions as necessary
  • Examine workforce utilization, facility layout, and operational data (e.g. production costs, process flow charts, production schedules) to determine efficient use of personnel and equipment
  • Suggest methods for enhancing team member efficiency and reducing material and utility waste, such as job duty restructuring, work flow reorganization, workstation and equipment relocation, and equipment purchases
  • Collaborate with management and engineering to implement plans and recommendations
  • If applicable, directly supervise Process Specialists in the Process Engineering Department
  • Maintain regular attendance and punctuality
  • Perform other assigned duties


  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline, preferably in Mechanical Engineering
  • At least three years of relevant experience in process engineering
  • Familiarity and experience with lean manufacturing principles, such as Kaizen, 5S, six sigma, and TPS (Toyota Production Systems)
  • Ability to effectively work with cross-functional teams and handle multiple projects concurrently
  • Self-starter mindset with a sense of urgency
  • Attention to detail and understanding of plant floor layout
  • Mechanical aptitude and innovative thinking
  • Capability to lead brainstorming activities, problem-solving, and root cause analysis
  • Proficiency in designing machinery components for existing equipment
  • Working knowledge of hydraulic systems and components
  • Proficient in database software, design software, development software, internet software, manufacturing software, project management software, and spreadsheet software (e.g. Microsoft Office, Autocad, Minitab, Oracle ERP system)
  • This position requires hands-on work and occasional weekend and holiday availability for project implementation
