Carbon Fiber Production Engineers

Location: Nashville, TN
Our client operates in the specialized field of carbon fiber production and is a prominent player in the carbon and graphite product industry. The company's facility in Nashville, TN is currently experiencing growth and transformation. They are in need of two skilled professionals to serve as PROCESS DEVELOPMENT ENGINEERS. In this role, you will be responsible for overseeing the design and implementation of new production lines in collaboration with the Technical Manager and other members of the production team. This opportunity has arisen due to the expansion of our client's business and the promotion of an existing Process Engineer.

  • Hold a Bachelor's or advanced degree in Chemical and/or Mechanical Engineering. A BSIE alone will not be considered.
  • Possess 2 to 3 years of experience in process development engineering, preferably in carbon fiber materials or pulp & paper manufacturing.
  • Experience with slurry is required.
  • Demonstrated expertise in developing, commissioning, and installing new process equipment.
  • Proven track record in new process development.
  • Experience with thermal processing / heat treatment of non-metallic products is a major plus.
  • Proficiency in using manufacturing analytical tools like statistical process control (SPC), Design of Experiments, and process capability studies.
  • Previous experience independently leading teams and successfully completing projects within specified timelines.
COMPENSATION RANGE: Up to $90K, with a 5% annual bonus. Exceptional candidates may be eligible for a higher salary.
