Packaging Procurement Manager
Summary
- Oversee the sourcing and management of packaging supplies at multiple facilities.

Responsibilities
- Manage the purchase of corrugated materials, folding cartons, and specialized packaging such as sticks and custom designs. Responsible for a portfolio of over 1,500 SKUs, with a particular emphasis on corrugated materials.
- Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiate pricing, and oversee a structured bidding process every two years. Extensive planning required, often taking several months to complete.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to ensure packaging designs and graphics align with branding requirements. Manage any necessary updates or approvals for these designs.
- Prepare comprehensive quarterly reports for leadership, highlighting key procurement trends and providing updates on category performance.
- Continuously seek opportunities to streamline purchasing workflows, enhance vendor performance, and ensure efficient inventory management across all locations.
Requirements
- BS/BA degree is required; Masters or MBA preferred.
- 7-10+ years of procurement experience required, with a focus on packaging.
- Detail-oriented, methodical problem solver with proficiency in Excel functions such as pivot tables and VLOOKUP.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain focus on goals, and possess a humble, hardworking demeanor. Independence and self-motivation are essential.
Additional Skills That Set You Apart
- Knowledge of food packaging or perishable product sourcing.
- Proficiency in Spanish is a valuable asset.
