Lead and Enhance a Growing Machining Operation

We are currently seeking a Manufacturing Manager for our Oak Lawn facility. This role is perfect for a leader with extensive machining and manufacturing experience, who can improve efficiency, streamline processes, and build a high-performing team in a specialized metal fabrication environment.

Responsibilities

  • Manage manufacturing operations in multiple departments, ensuring optimal performance of key equipment
  • Lead and supervise a team of 8 direct reports and 100+ indirect reports in a fast-paced industrial setting
  • Develop and maintain production schedules to maximize machine utilization and minimize downtime
  • Collaborate closely with Quality Control teams to ensure product quality and implement improvement initiatives
  • Manage budgets and inventory, optimizing the use of resources
  • Drive process improvement initiatives using lean manufacturing principles and advanced technologies
  • Promote a strong safety culture, ensuring adherence to standards and training programs

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, or Automation Engineering, or equivalent experience in CNC machining environments
  • 5-10+ years of experience in machining, manufacturing, or steel production
  • 2-5+ years in an operations leadership role, managing teams in an industrial setting
  • Strong expertise in CNC machining, specifically lathes, mills, and general machining operations
  • Lean Manufacturing & Continuous Improvement Mindset – Six Sigma or lean certifications preferred
  • Proficiency with CAD/CAM software, ERP systems (SAP/Oracle), and Microsoft Office
  • Proven problem-solving, decision-making, and leadership skills
