Operations Manager
Location: Johnson City, TN
Currently, we are seeking a Production Manager position based in Johnson City, Tennessee.

As the Production Manager, your key responsibility will be to oversee and ensure the productivity of our manufacturing department in a safe and efficient manner. This will involve coordinating workflow across all departments, managing equipment and materials, and leading the workforce.
Scope of Responsibility
- Collaborate closely with senior leadership to ensure quality product output and safety throughout all departments.
- Manage manufacturing workflow, including materials and equipment, to meet production, quality, and cost objectives.
- Plan and coordinate production schedules, rates, and capacity plans, as well as processing methods and times.
- Budget and approve expenditures for production resources, such as equipment, materials, and workforce.
- Promote and maintain a safety conscious manufacturing environment.
- Direct first-line supervisors in reporting and scheduling activities.
- Lead communication of corrective action plans, resolutions, and quality results within the department.
- Analyze reports and reviews provided by first-line supervisors.
- Conduct annual performance appraisals for direct reports.
- Mentor production team members to foster a professional and motivated workforce.
- Assist in company/plant planning by preparing budgets, making expenditure recommendations, and forecasting workforce/space needs.
- Report production, quality, maintenance, or personnel issues to the Director.
- Perform other tasks as assigned or necessary.
Qualifications
Bachelor's Degree required
- 5+ years of experience in Manufacturing
- 2+ years of supervisory/leadership experience
- Significant experience in manufacturing management and supervision.
- Knowledge of lean production principles and metrics.
- Ability to prepare and interpret various metrics and reports.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with all levels of the organization.
