Operations Manager

Job Details:

The Operations Manager will oversee the day-to-day operations of maintaining corrugated machines, managing business operations, staffing department, implementing safety policies and procedures, maintaining overall machine and line maintenance, overseeing department operations including P&L, output, line shut downs, and engaging with customers for converting projects. As a member of the management leadership team, you will provide guidance to the manufacturing facility, ensuring efficiency in plant production, materials, equipment, and tools to keep projects on schedule.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead operations efficiently for the production department and entire plant as required for company initiatives.

  • Plan effectively with co-supervision to achieve company objectives in a timely and cost-effective manner.

  • Ensure customer projects meet specifications and identify areas for improvement to enhance customer satisfaction.

  • Implement an effective safety plan for program execution.

  • Create and support company goals and procedures for continuous improvement, production efficiency, profitability, and employee satisfaction.

  • Develop and manage communication channels across stakeholder groups for strong relationships and superior product outcomes.

  • Manage P&L, manufacturing costs, and operating efficiencies to boost plant profitability.

  • Monitor and manage waste management to control production costs and reduce environmental impacts.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s Degree from a four-year college or university; or 7 years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • Minimum 7 years of leadership experience in a Corrugated or Converting manufacturing facility - Mandatory

  • Ability to adapt quickly to changing demands, processes, and updated information.

  • Act as a change agent to deploy lean processes with urgency.

  • Strong understanding of quality processes and continuous improvement, including Six Sigma certification.

  • Excellent communication skills and capability to engage across all levels of the organization to achieve organizational objectives.

  • Proficient in capital management (P&L and capital budgets) and analyzing financial data.
