Grain Facility Production Manager

Job Description

  • Manage day-to-day operations at the grain facility in collaboration with the Superintendent and Location Manager
  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure compliance with company control standards
  • Support cost control efforts and operational planning
  • Coordinate grain conditioning, space utilization, and mix/blend opportunities
  • Implement and schedule preventative maintenance adhering to OSHA grain handling standards
  • Oversee employee development and workflow management to maintain productivity
  • Promote energy efficiency and cost-saving initiatives
  • Enforce asset protection and site security measures
  • Supervise contractors, temps, and other onsite workers
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and operational regulations
  • Provide exceptional customer service and address customer needs
  • Recommend enhancements to processes and operations

Qualifications

  • Prior experience in a grain elevator or terminal (mandatory)
  • High School Diploma or GED (mandatory)
  • Effective communication skills and team collaboration abilities
  • Hands-on experience with mechanical, operational, and safety procedures
  • Farming background is advantageous
  • Physical ability to lift 50+ lbs, work outdoors in varying weather, and operate in noisy environments
