Project Cash Flow Analyst

Position Overview:

We are hiring a Project Cash Flow Analyst to join our team in Woodland Hills, CA. As a Project Cash Flow Analyst, you will be responsible for managing the financial aspects of multiple construction projects. We are seeking a detail-oriented professional with a strong understanding of construction accounting to oversee subcontractor agreements, vendor compliance, and project budgets. The ideal candidate will have excellent organizational and communication skills to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting for all projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the accounting for multiple construction projects, ensuring accurate financial tracking and reporting.
  • Review and update subcontractor agreements and change orders to reflect current project needs and compliance.
  • Verify and update vendor information, including insurance, preliminary notices, labor compliance, licenses, and tax filing documentation.
  • Reconcile and update invoices from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors on a daily, weekly, and monthly basis, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
  • Prepare and process disbursement checks for subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, ensuring timely payments.
  • Collect unconditional and conditional progress waivers from subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors, covering all tiers from 1st to 3rd.
  • Evaluate, analyze, and report project budgets for monitoring purposes on a weekly basis.
  • Reconcile and accrue project costs for subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors on a monthly basis, maintaining up-to-date financial records.
  • Maintain an organized filing system for project-related documents, ensuring easy retrieval and compliance.
  • Process project closeout paperwork, collecting all final unconditional releases from 1st to 3rd tier subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Maintain excellent communication with general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, vendors, project managers, and government agencies to facilitate smooth operations.
  • Perform additional tasks and assignments as directed by supervisors to support overall project accounting efforts.

Background Profile:

  • Proven experience in construction accounting or project accounting, with a strong understanding of construction financial management.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively liaise with various stakeholders.
  • Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite (particularly Excel) to manage financial data efficiently.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team, adapting to changing priorities and deadlines.
