Proposal Manager

Location: Rochester Hills, MI

Our client, a privately held employee benefits company located in Oakland County, is seeking an experienced Proposal Manager. This hybrid position involves supporting the proposal development process by creating and designing materials and information on various insurance products for Agents and Account Managers to present to clients and prospects.

Responsibilities

  • Request new and renewal quotes for accounts from carriers per RFP.
  • Review quotes and rates for accuracy.
  • Negotiate rates with carriers under the direction of the Agent or Account Manager.
  • Coordinate and analyze information on spreadsheets and present the best options to clients.
  • Create marketing reports and graphs to support client presentations.
  • Build rapport with carrier representatives.

Additional Responsibilities

  • Participate in internal Pre-Renewal meetings.
  • Assemble presentation materials for meetings.
  • Prepare Pre and Post Executive Cost Summaries.
  • Assist Account Managers and Service Representatives with enrollment paperwork and other duties.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree and 1-2 years of related experience.
  • Insurance industry experience is preferred.

Computer Skills

  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint.
  • Knowledge of MS Word.
  • Familiarity with Brokerage Builder/Zywave software.

This position will become hybrid after the 90-day training period, with 3 days working from home per week.
