Job Description
Job Summary:
The Quality Systems Management (QMS) Coordinator is responsible for overseeing the maintenance and updates of the quality management system. They will approve QMS documentation changes, manage internal audits, actively monitor quality objectives, and report quality key performance indicators (KPIs). In addition, they will ensure proper calibration of measuring equipment, assist in policy and procedure development, provide quality planning support to departments, and coordinate safety audits. The QMS Coordinator will also be responsible for managing the company's training system and other assigned duties.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Maintain and update quality management system.
- Review and approve changes related to QMS documentation.
- Manage internal audit schedule, conduct internal audits, and assist with external audits.
- Actively monitor quality objectives and report quality KPIs.
- Manage calibration program, ensuring measuring equipment is maintained and calibrated.
- Assist with the development of company policies, processes, and procedures.
- Provide departments with quality planning and support.
- Conduct or assist with regulatory and quality training sessions.
- Coordinate and oversee all safety audits, reporting findings and ensuring timely completion.
- Manage the company's training management system, assigning necessary training to employees and ensuring timely completion.
- Perform any other duties as assigned by the Quality Manager.
Minimum Qualifications:
- 3-5 years of experience in manufacturing working with Quality Management Systems
- Primary knowledge of ISO 9001 Standard
- Basic mechanical comprehension
- Experience with ERP is a plus
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, with strong Excel, PowerPoint, and Word skills
- Basic analytical skills
- Willingness and ability to collaborate through teamwork, and the ability to motivate team members
- Knowledge of, or ability to learn and understand, processes and procedures
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Clear and professional communication skills
- Use of safe practices and PPE in a production environment
Work Environment:
This position is based in an office/manufacturing environment. Employees may be occasionally exposed to moving equipment, mechanical parts in motion, risk of shock, and other hazards associated with a manufacturing environment, such as overhead cranes, welding, machining, and painting. The position requires walking, sitting, standing, bending, reading, seeing, hearing, speaking, concentrating, and communicating.
