Job Summary of the Quality Assurance Manager: Opportunity available for an experienced Quality Assurance Manager with 5+ years of relevant quality experience in the Food Manufacturing industry. The QA manager will be responsible for overseeing Quality systems to ensure optimal production and product outcomes, applying their expertise and experience in the field. They will also be responsible for maintaining FSSC 22000 certification and QMS requirements, as well as leading initiatives for process improvement and implementing best practices in quality administration.
Qualifications of the Quality Assurance Manager:
- Maintain FSSC 22000 Certification.
- Establish and train employees on Quality Management System processes to support FSSC 22000 Certification, Food Safety, and GMP's.
- Periodically review QMS and track objectives for quality, product, and process improvement.
- Generate Quality Scorecards and reports on plant quality, including Customer Complaints, CAR's, and COPQ.
- Investigate customer concerns, perform Root Cause Analysis, and develop Corrective and Prevention Actions.
- Oversee internal and external audits.
- Act as a Quality Liaison with current and prospective customers.
- Maintain third-party certifications including Kosher, Halal, and Organic.
- Provide oversight and training to the Internal Audit Team.
- Conduct QMS & Quality Awareness Training for new and existing employees.
- Provide leadership and guidance to Quality Technicians.
- Lead the Food Safety Quality Culture Team.
Responsibilities of the Quality Assurance Manager:
- 5+ years of Quality Assurance experience in the Food Manufacturing industry.
- 2+ years of Supervisory or Management experience.
- Experience with Quality Management Systems in a manufacturing environment.
- Bachelor's Degree in a highly related field.
- Expertise in Food Safety and QMS.
- Experience in maintaining customer complaint processes and mitigation.
- Advanced knowledge of Lean, Six Sigma, and Project Management best practices.
- Working knowledge of EXCEL spreadsheets, Microsoft Office Suite, and various quality documentation software.
- Above average attention to detail.
- Strong multi-tasking abilities.
- Above average oral and written communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and prioritize safety.
