Description

Quality Engineer needed for the manufacturing of advanced aerospace products and technologies.
  • Proficiency in electrical and electronics
  • Familiarity with IPC structure and standards
  • Review engineering drawings and procedures for ECO
  • Review supplier AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports
  • Review supplier AQL (C=0) sampling inspection reports
  • Perform incoming inspection of materials and ensure traceable documentation
  • Address Supplier Correction Action Request (SCAR)
  • Determine root cause and drive Internal Corrective Action Report (ICAR)
  • Reconcile nonconforming materials and NCRs
  • Lead Material Review Board (MRB) to close nonconformances
  • Review Detailed Process Procedure (DPP) and Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP)
  • Conduct In-Process Quality Assurance (IPQA) to validate manufacturing builds
  • Create AS9102 First Article Inspection Reports (FAIRs)
  • Ensure final inspection of hardware
  • Prepare for source inspection and interact with customers
  • Ensure completeness of build documentation and create Certificates of Conformance (CoCs)
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written
  • Experience with calipers, micrometers, height stands, and gauges
  • Visual inspection using microscopes
  • Understanding of ESD protocols
  • Conduct training on procedural and process changes
  • Archive and scan all applicable records and objective evidence

Support Functions

  • Conduct internal audits, support AS9100 audits, and customer surveys
  • Conduct supplier assessments and audits
  • Perform PFMEA

  • Assist QA Inspectors and Manager as needed

Travel

10% travel or as needed.

Qualifications

Required Education and Experience

  • U.S. Citizenship and ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance
  • Technical degree in Electrical or Electronics

Preferred Experience and Skills

  • BSEE or related Engineering degree
  • 5 years of experience in AS9100 QMS work environment
  • Familiar with PCB, PCBA, Cable & Harness
  • Familiar with J-STD-001 certification
  • Strong understanding of IPC-A-600, 610, and 620 standards
  • Understanding of mechanical and dimensional GD&T, and CMM experience
