A renowned and established company located in Lawrenceville, GA, near the east of Atlanta, is seeking a Quality Engineer at either entry-level or experienced level. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

• Review and ensure compliance with quality requirements for design drawings, operation sheets, process procedures, test procedures, and inspection analyses on assigned products.
• Develop and implement training strategies for associates on testing equipment like calipers, micrometers, CMM, and Vision Systems.
• Evaluate testing equipment capacity to meet testing needs.
• Establish inspection standards for auditing raw materials and products at various stages of the manufacturing process.
• Lead improvement projects in response to internal/external findings or customer complaints.
• Participate in Kaizen activities to address customer complaints.
• Conduct studies such as CPK on all parts supplied to customers.
• Maintain databases and reports related to inspection activities and quality issues.
• Oversee product sorting and defective parts return process.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3 years of related experience.
• Proficiency in ATS, SPC, FMEA, and measuring equipment.
• Strong customer-service orientation.
• Proven problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities.
• Experience in automotive manufacturing is preferred.
• Proficient in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint, and preferably Access.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsible for directing and supervising employees.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

Requires sitting for long periods and occasional lifting and moving of up to 25 pounds.
