Manufacturing Quality Engineer
Location: Atlanta, GA
A well-established company located in Atlanta, GA, is seeking a Manufacturing Quality Engineer for their large production facility near the city. This position is open for individuals at either a Quality Engineer level 1 or level 2. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Review and ensure compliance of design drawings, operation sheets, process procedures, test procedures, and quality manuals to meet quality requirements.
- Develop, implement, and maintain training strategies for associates on use of testing equipment.
- Measure testing equipment capacity and maintain inspection standards for raw materials and products.
- Lead projects to improve quality processes, products, and components based on internal/external findings.
- Coordinate audits of raw materials and products at various manufacturing stages.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in related field with at least three years of experience.
- Proficiency in ATS, SPC, FMEA, and knowledge of measuring equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
- Supervisory experience preferred.
- Proficient in MSWord, Excel, PowerPoint.
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsible for leading and supervising employees.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
Long periods of sitting and occasional lifting of up to 25 pounds may be required.
