Vehicle Quality Program Manager

Position Summary:

  • Responsible for designing, planning, and supervising
  • Developing and implementing improved methods for extracting, processing, and utilizing raw materials
  • Creating new materials to enhance product performance and utilize technological advancements
  • Analyzing the impact of products and systems on the environment and users
  • Identifying causes of breakdowns
  • Testing manufactured products to ensure quality
  • Estimating project time and cost

Responsibilities:

Job Responsibilities:

  • Prepare for production using the 1QDC process, with a focus on achieving a defect-free process
  • Collaborate with various divisions and departments to successfully launch new models
  • Utilize technical knowledge to improve warranty quality and effectively manage technical projects
  • Analyze warranty trends and prioritize activities to reduce warranty issues
  • Monitor corrective actions and market trends to evaluate their effectiveness
  • Apply "Lessons Learned" and FMEA into the development of new model launches
  • Maintain a monitoring program for vehicles to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
  • Create and execute test plans for new model pilot vehicles and for root cause analysis
  • Manage cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
  • Act as a liaison between the company and dealer networks
  • Present monthly warranty quality status to management and request support as needed
  • Develop and coordinate plans for suspect vehicles, such as external sort or repair
  • Identify opportunities for improving quality management systems and business practices

Qualifications:

Education / Experience:

  • 4-year college degree in a technical field such as mechanical or industrial engineering, or 6-8 years of experience in lieu of degree

Other Required Skills:

  • Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and reach timely and accurate conclusions
  • Effective communication skills and ability to propose quality improvements
  • Experience with root cause investigation on the production floor
  • Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D and fishbone diagrams
  • Experience with warranty processes and procedures

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong technical program management experience
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory position
  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001
