Vehicle Quality Program Manager

Position Summary:
- Responsible for designing, planning, and supervising
- Developing and implementing improved methods for extracting, processing, and utilizing raw materials
- Creating new materials to enhance product performance and utilize technological advancements
- Analyzing the impact of products and systems on the environment and users
- Identifying causes of breakdowns
- Testing manufactured products to ensure quality
- Estimating project time and cost
Responsibilities:
Job Responsibilities:
- Prepare for production using the 1QDC process, with a focus on achieving a defect-free process
- Collaborate with various divisions and departments to successfully launch new models
- Utilize technical knowledge to improve warranty quality and effectively manage technical projects
- Analyze warranty trends and prioritize activities to reduce warranty issues
- Monitor corrective actions and market trends to evaluate their effectiveness
- Apply "Lessons Learned" and FMEA into the development of new model launches
- Maintain a monitoring program for vehicles to gather feedback and identify areas for improvement
- Create and execute test plans for new model pilot vehicles and for root cause analysis
- Manage cross-functional teams to perform root cause analysis and implement corrective actions
- Act as a liaison between the company and dealer networks
- Present monthly warranty quality status to management and request support as needed
- Develop and coordinate plans for suspect vehicles, such as external sort or repair
- Identify opportunities for improving quality management systems and business practices
Qualifications:
Education / Experience:
- 4-year college degree in a technical field such as mechanical or industrial engineering, or 6-8 years of experience in lieu of degree
Other Required Skills:
- Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously and reach timely and accurate conclusions
- Effective communication skills and ability to propose quality improvements
- Experience with root cause investigation on the production floor
- Knowledge of quality tools such as 8D and fishbone diagrams
- Experience with warranty processes and procedures
Preferred Skills:
- Strong technical program management experience
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a supervisory position
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001
