Shift Quality Supervisor

Location: Greenwood, IN

Major and well-known company is seeking a Shift Quality Supervisor for their Greenwood, IN location. This role is available for both the 1st shift and the night shift. The position offers a competitive 401K and incentive plan, as well as relocation assistance.

As a member of our team, you will work at our manufacturing plant in Greenwood, IN and report to the Quality Manager. In this role, you will provide guidance, technical assistance, and scheduling to our quality assurance technicians and associates. You will be responsible for various quality and safety tasks including audits, HACCP program evaluation, GMP training, working with operations personnel on quality and safety issues, inspecting returned and incoming products, handling customer complaints, implementing procedures, and evaluating new equipment installations or repairs.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading quality assurance activities such as audits, training, and purchasing
  • Providing technical training to QA personnel
  • Monitoring and verifying the HACCP plan's CCPs
  • Conducting facility GMP and food safety inspections
  • Coordinating with production to monitor packaging lines for control of weights, metal detection, codes, and product/package integrity
  • Verifying that operations control systems are functional and being followed
  • Placing products on hold, releasing or disposing products, and evaluating damaged products
  • Coordinating the resolution of customer complaints
  • Reviewing lab results for completion and compliance to programs

You should have:

  • A BS Degree in Biology, Microbiology, Chemistry, Food Science, or a related field is preferred, but we will consider candidates with relevant experience and no degree
  • At least 3 years of related experience
  • Experience with HACCP Plans
  • An understanding of government regulations, including FDA and USDA
  • An open mind to consider candidates from all industries
