Job Description:
Radio / RF / Hardware Maintenance Engineer
We are seeking a qualified candidate to become our Subject Matter Expert (SME) for maintaining and supporting our Communication Systems tactical radio and VSAT products. You will use data-driven models to develop custom spare parts lists, hardware provisioning, analyze hardware maintainability, perform Maintenance Task Analysis (MTA), Level of Repair Analysis (LORA), and create overall Integrated Logistics Support plans (ILSP), and other reports based on customer requirements.
Our Integrated Logistics Support Department is dedicated to providing accurate and flawlessly executed maintainability data and plans that meet customer needs. In this role, you will collaborate with internal teams in product management, engineering, and publications to develop customer maintenance data. For example, you will work with publication writers to assist in creating Intermediate Maintenance Manuals.
The ideal candidate is an independent worker with strong collaboration skills. You should have mechanical aptitude, be extremely detail-oriented, and enjoy working with data.
Essential Functions:
· Deliver Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) data and reports in accordance with program or customer requirements
· Manage projects or processes under general supervision.
· Communicate with contacts inside and outside of your department to explain and interpret ILS processes, practices, and procedures.
· Suggest improvements to systems and processes.
· Strive to achieve operational targets for specific programs and projects that have a moderate impact on departmental results.
· Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a US Secret level clearance.
Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s Degree and at least 4 years of prior relevant ILS experience. Graduate Degree and a minimum of 2 years of prior related ILS experience. In absence of a degree, must have a minimum of 8 years of prior related ILS experience.
Preferred Skills:
· Prior work experience in Integrated Logistics Support, electronics/radio maintenance, reliability engineering
· Knowledge of our company's/RF Communications (PRC-163, PRC-167, PRC-160, AN/PRC-117G, AN/PRC-152A, AN/PRC-150) and VSAT terminal products
· Familiarity with reliability-centered maintenance tasks such as spare part analysis/forecasting, provisioning, MAC/MTA, LORA, ILSP
· Experience and/or certifications in Lean Six-Sigma continuous improvement
· Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to occasionally present to customer groups
· Familiarity with business intelligence and analytics software such as Microsoft Power BI
· Able to collaborate effectively with different departments, including Engineering and Product Service, to solve complex problems
· Strong analytical skills to analyze processes or challenges and develop effective solutions
· Proven success working in a collaborative environment
· Practical knowledge acquired through advanced education combined with experience.
