Refrigeration Operator Position in Twin Falls, ID (area)

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Refrigeration Operator to maintain and operate all ammonia refrigeration equipment, cold storages, process freezers, air compressors, and boilers, along with additional support equipment.
The successful candidate will also provide assistance to the maintenance department for assigned and emergency tasks as directed by their supervisor.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Collaborate with production staff to operate and maintain refrigeration equipment, air compressors, boilers, and auxiliary machinery.
2. Identify and troubleshoot problems with refrigeration equipment and implement necessary corrections.
3. Participate in the Process Safety Management program, attending training sessions, ensuring safety procedures are followed, and undertaking administrative and practical PSM-related tasks.
4. Actively engage in ongoing education and safety training to enhance job skills and knowledge.
5. Contribute to the Emergency Response Plan as required.
6. Perform duties in extremely hot and cold environments.
7. Safely handle and move objects weighing up to 50 lbs. as necessary for job tasks.
8. Maintain good communication skills, both verbally and in writing.
9. Work effectively and independently with minimal supervision.
10.Attend regular progress review meetings with the supervisor.
11.Perform any additional assigned duties.
Requirements:
Preferred minimum of 1 year of experience in a related role.

Compensation structure Hourly rate based on experience
Training
The Refrigeration Operator will participate in internal training programs, which include shadowing experienced operators, hands-on operations and safety training, regular safety training sessions, and compliance with all requirements of the Process Safety Management program.
Additionally, the Refrigeration Operator will undergo technical training provided by the company, such as GCPA (Garden City Ammonia Program), RETA (Refrigeration Engineers and Technicians Association), HAZWOPER (Hazardous Waste Operations and Emergency Response) on an annual basis, and other relevant trainings as determined by the Refrigeration Manager.
