Our client, a highly reputable and expanding manufacturer of metal, fiberglass, and wood components, is seeking a skilled Production Operations Manager for their operations in Memphis, TN and MS. As the Regional Production Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing two plants, one in the Memphis area and another located an hour away in MS. You will also supervise two Plant Managers. The ideal candidate must have a strong background in inventory planning, control, and a proficient knowledge of SAP.
Position Summary:
The Regional Production Operations Manager will be responsible for optimizing production operations in Tennessee and MS. In this role, you will manage multiple manufacturing facilities, ensuring operational efficiency, meeting production targets, and driving continuous improvement. We are seeking a strategic leader with a proven track record in manufacturing operations and supply chain management.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement regional production plans and strategies aligned with company objectives.
- Oversee daily operations of multiple manufacturing facilities within the region.
- Manage production schedules, staffing, and equipment utilization to optimize efficiency and productivity.
- Ensure adherence to production targets, quality standards, and safety regulations.
- Analyze production performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Manage and develop regional production teams.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including sales, engineering, and supply chain.
- Manage regional budgets and control expenses.
- Ensure compliance with environmental and health and safety regulations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, operations management, or a related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in manufacturing operations management.
- Proven track record in managing multiple production facilities.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles and techniques.
- Proficiency in production planning and scheduling software.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
- SAP background and a strong background in inventory management and planning.
