Territory Sales Director

Our client, a leading manufacturer of marking equipment located in Boston, MA, is currently seeking a Territory Sales Director to drive sales and provide exceptional customer service.

Our client specializes in cutting-edge laser, dot peen, and scribe marking systems that support a variety of industries including manufacturing, automotive, aerospace, and electronics. With a focus on precision, efficiency, and traceability, our client's innovative solutions are empowering businesses to enhance their product marking processes. As they expand their market presence, we are seeking a highly motivated Territory Sales Director to achieve sales targets, build strong customer relationships, and demonstrate the technical capabilities of their marking systems within the Boston, MA region.


Sales Strategy and Execution:

- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan to achieve regional sales targets and business objectives for laser, dot peen, and scribe systems.

- Identify and pursue new business opportunities while strengthening relationships with existing clients.

- Conduct technical product demonstrations to showcase the features and benefits of the laser, dot peen, and scribe marking systems.

- Collaborate with the Business Development and Inside Sales teams to oversee the entire sales cycle from lead generation to deal closure.

- Work with cross-functional teams, including Marketing and Technical Support, to ensure high customer satisfaction.

Technical Expertise:

- Acquire and maintain in-depth knowledge of the laser, dot peen, and scribe marking systems, staying up-to-date with product updates and technological advancements.

- Provide technical guidance to customers, addressing inquiries, and demonstrating the value of the solutions.

- Collaborate with the Technical Support team to ensure a seamless integration and customer satisfaction post-sale.

Market Analysis:

- Conduct comprehensive market research to identify industry trends, competition, and potential customers.

- Analyze customer needs and market demands to adapt sales strategies and maintain a competitive edge.

Customer Relationship Management:

- Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with key customers, understanding their unique needs and providing tailored solutions.

- Offer expert guidance as a technical advisor, highlighting the applications and benefits of marking system solutions.

Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

- Prepare accurate sales forecasts and reports, providing regular updates on sales performance and market trends to senior management.

- Utilize Salesforce or an equivalent CRM system to manage customer interactions, sales activities, and pipeline progression.


- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Marketing, or a related field. MBA is preferred.

- Proven track record of success in B2B sales, ideally in the industrial or manufacturing sector.

- Experience selling capital equipment, industrial marking systems, or related technologies is highly desirable.

- Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and guide a sales team.

- Excellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Strategic thinking and proactive problem-solving approach.

- Willingness to travel within the Boston, MA region as needed.

· Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or Physics preferred.

· 75%+ travel required.

· Valid Driver's License.
