We are seeking a Food Sales Executive to join our team in San Bernardino, CA. This role is responsible for maintaining and developing relationships with over 30 food distributors across 19 Western US states, with a focus on the California (CA), Nevada (NV), and Arizona (AZ) markets. Our company specializes in manufacturing frozen, premium, all-natural sweet and savory flavors, purees, concentrates, and blends, which are sold through distributors to restaurants, resorts and hotels, bars, cruise lines, and specialty gourmet manufacturers.
Responsibilities:
- Maintaining and developing relationships with 30+ food distributors throughout 19 Western US states
- Driving market share growth and customer satisfaction
- Exceeding the company's defined sales and profitability goals
- Managing 1 Sales Representative
- Identifying revenue generating opportunities with distributor accounts
- Tracking trends and formulating methods to improve service and sales
- Utilizing sales reporting, online research, event leads, and other resources
- Using CRM to capture all customer engagement
- Reviewing and analyzing monthly, quarterly, and annual region sales
- Providing annual budget input for the territory
- Reviewing communication strategy to cover operational support needs
Qualifications / Requirements:
- BA/BS required
- 3+ years of experience in food sales and selling to foodservice distributors
- Proficiency in using CRM software and Excel daily
- Ability to prepare and utilize 30/60/90-day planning
- Data analysis, sales reporting, product training, and trade show planning
- Able to travel approximately 50% with airport accessibility
